The Myanmar junta-allied Karen State Border Guard Force (BGF) is facing difficulties in managing over 8,700 foreign nationals rescued from scam compounds in Karen State’s Myawaddy Township as the repatriation process is taking longer than expected.

Justice For Myanmar (JFM) released a statement on 25 February, urging Thailand to issue arrest warrants for three leaders of the Karen Border Guard Force (BGF), Colonel Saw Chit Thu, Major Mote Thone, and Colonel Tin Win. The organization is calling for these individuals to be held accountable for their crimes against victims.
